I have read V. a couple of times and each time I feel more like I dont know what is going on. In fact, out of all the books I have read, V. is the one that is the best at giving me that feeling like I dont know what is 

going on.   But you have not yet finished so enjoy the ride.  That I think is the most important thing.  

Of course, it is interesting to wonder how and why exactly V. is so unsettling . . . . 

You mention wanting to try to pull it all together. I think this wanting to pull it all together is one of the central points of the book----
