Part of the problem is that pynchon-l is set up to reply to the originator
of the message, not the list. People hit "reply" and then put pynchon-l in
the cc. This means that anyone who posts a message gets two copies of the
reply. I cut the sender's name and address into the attribution line and
send the message to pynchon-l at waste.org.
