"Truths are illusions which we have forgotten are illusions; they are
metaphors that have become worn out and have been drained of sensuous
force, coins which have lost their embossing and are now considered as
metal and no longer as coins"

I knew it! I just had this sneaking suspicion, mentioned it off-list to
Dr. T, a-and now it's has it? oh yes it has BEEN CONFIRMED--this is just
one big pissing contest between Jules and Pynchon, although it's only
manifesting itself through Jules. The Book is out, and we're losing our
fascination w/ Jules' little coattail trip. A-and excuse me if I've got
this all wrong, but this is not our perception of the world; it's your
projection, Jules.
When will little Jules just take the goddamn ball and GO HOME?!?!
