Do you mean to study life in a small modern "tribe"?  Try Applied
Anthropology. You'll learn the skills to conduct your own ground-breaking
study of "Fame in a Small Urban Tribe."

If you mean departments to study the shooting of famous people then you're
prob'ly right.
