Pynchon 1st Editions

[Bruce Appelbaum]

     If my memory serves, there were simultaneous firsts of GR in both 
     paperback and hardcover.  The hardcover went through several printings 
     and finally went out of print in the late 80s/early 90s (I think 
     before Vineland).

   Wasn't that the ONLY 1st of GR?  I bought one new and don't recall a
hardback GR.
