Kyrgyz trivia

No blinding Kyrgyz light here to lead us all on the long tortuous path back
to the center that's red-shifting away from us, just a bit of trivia.

Several weeks ago we were exploring puns embedded in TRP's foreign names
and got off on the Kyrgyz fellow Dzaqyp Qulan.  For what it's worth, I got
it straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak, that Qulan means "foal" in
Kyrgyz.  So we're dealing with Jacob Foal (whatever that's worth).  Sorry
about the delay.  My informant in Bishkek (Pishpek to TRP), a filly rather
than a foal, communicates by secondhand email slower than the pony express.

By the way, that "h" in my informant's "Kyrg(h)yz" is a puzzler.  Not even
the locals can decide whether or not to include it.  Or whether to switch
back from cyrillic to latin alphabets, or whether to switch from Russian to
Turkic or Arabic transliterations for the westerners.  The linguistic dance
continues.
