I'm one of the two people who mentioned reading it (can't say
"attempting", because it's such a pleasure to read and not difficult
at all). The translation is by Eithne Wilkins and Ernst Kaiser (1952,
cheap paperback set of 2, ~$10 each) - I don't know how it compares to
the other translations. I'm close to finishing the second volume and
can't wait to reread the whole thing - as it is I feel like I should
read every chapter twice, just for the pleasure of it.
So I guess it's going well.
