Our leftist, autonomous and progressive movement, GRAFFITI, has been
carrying out activities against McDonald's and other multinational
corporations during the recent months.  These include:

(1)  For the second consecutive year, in order to commemorate the World
Anti-McDonald's Day, we carried out a protest in front of a McDonald's
outlet in our capital city (Valletta) main street.  A banner carrying the
words "McGideb" (meaning McLies) was held in front of the outlet while
members of ours, complete with McDonald's outfits worn by their workers,
distributed leaflets.  This activity was reported on a main local TV station
and on a main newspaper.

(2)  We also carried out a protest at the University, where Ronald McDonald
gave a show for children, the funds of which were donated as charity.  We
also used the McLies banner and distributed leaflets.

(3)  We frequently put up stickers on strategic places, and we have carried
out a poster campaign against McDonald's.
