Reading: A rather entertaining if predictable thriller about
cryogenics called _Host_, by Peter James (well, hey, the brain needs
a holiday too). Just finished _The Tailor of Panama_ by John le
Carre, one of his best. My girlfriend's plying me with Terry
Pratchett novels and with works by Thorne Smith.
Listening: Last thing I listened to (in the car stereo on the way to
work) was _A Collector's Sondheim_. I'm looking after a house for
some friends while they're away - they have recordings of Philip
Glass's _Satyagraha_ and _Akhenaten_ in their CD collection, so
I've listened to those a lot too. Apart from that, Brian Eno, Tom
Waits, Kate Bush and Leonard Cohen (as always).
Hired any good videos recently, foax? I've just sat through my
fourth viewing of Tim Burton's _The Nightmare Before Christmas_...
