i find it odd that vollmann's large body of work is practically absent
from the reading lists submitted to this club....novels like _fathers
and crows_ were written for people like us who love pynchon-length
paranoid literature....is there some sort of unwritten chastising of
vollmann by members

i highly recommend "thirteen stories and thirteen epitaphs", "the
rainbow stories", "you bright and risen angels", and pretty much any
novel by this living master of words...
