am i the only pynchophreak that was deeply disappointed by vineland?

	I haven't been able to get through the first dozen pages.
I live in the Pacific Northwest.  I know someone who goes crazy on
schedule to keep that SS coming in.  I've been around too many
timber equipment fairs.  
	I think it's a great and strange cover.  Looks to be a
slash burn at first glance,  but all the smoke's in the trees at
the top of the clear cut and the slash ain't burned, or even
piled up anywhere under a black plastic tarp.  Very intriguing.
  	I will read it eventually...
