Coover's latest, _John's Wife_, is well worth your time: imagine
Peyton Place as reimagined by Flann O'Brien.
Vonnegut has gone on record as stating that he believes our
contemporary media-saturated culture to have no place any longer
for fiction. Of course, this feeling would have a chilling
effect on his future production. Let's hope its just some
temporary megrims.
And, oh yes, Coover has another novel coming out this year, whose
title escapes me.
