DC Gathering

Dear DC P-listers:

Recent references in our posts to the District of Columbia have prompted a
couple of us to propose a DC summit meeting.  We can't supply Chrissie and Faera
(though I would be willing to have MY wife and daughter show up and claim to
know what brand of toothpaste Mr. Pynchon prefers) Ñ we can merely promise a
seedy night at some dive.  Current discussions center around Millie & Al's in
Adams Morgan, truly a wonderful dump.

We (Henry M and myself) don't know who we're inviting (Chris A.?, Paul M.?), but
check in with one of us and we'll try to set something up.  We could even
consider going to the Rathskeller place on Wisconsin Avenue (called the "Old
Heidelberg" in "Entropy," but really called the "Old Europe" Ñ north of the
"Social Safeway"), though the only time I've been in there was with my father
and an old fling of his to my discomfort.
