Sad tunes (was I knew that)

Henry M. asks for some Sad Music:

2nd movement of Beethoven's Seventh symphony (aka theme from ZARDOZ for all you
SF fans); any of those late quartets;

Ravel's "Pavanne for a Dead Princess";

Satie's "Gymnopedie";

Peter T's "Tristan and Iseult";

Beatles' "You Never Give Me Your Money"(1-2-3-4-5-6-7 All good children go to heaven)

Steely Dan's "Pearl of the Quarter";

Just about anything by Puccini, right?

But not, not ever, Morrissey--there's a difference between sadness and maudlin treacle.
Sadness is a truly noble emotion. Ride it Henry, there is as way through.
