I've had a soft spot for ABBA, particularly Waterloo, since I saw
     "Muriel's Wedding."

Adam's testimonial to ABBA is sadder than all the sad songs we've mentioned so
fa r. Or
maybe I missed the epic scope of their sweeping vision, like the devilish
wordpla y of their
name. Just gimme a cup (hey, make it a *grande*) of that Starbucks Decaf
Cappuci no
Amaretto latte, a good Marge Piercy (or maybe that Ann Beattie) to curl up with
i n my B &
N armchair, "Waterloo" on the earphones, and oh man is this better'n drugs or
wha t? An
orgasmic fit!

aghast,
