Well, I have relatives ranging from 30 to 50 that indulge daily, and there
subcultures where people who started smoking in the 60-70's are still
smoking (a 50 year old landlord I had in the late 80's comes to mind).
Your mileage may vary of course, though wouldn't feeling paranoid as hell be
an asset when trying to read Pynchon?
Slothrop's ancestors made their fortune from killing trees and making paper,
very bad, but then this book is written on paper, does that make me bad, or
does using paper to roll a joint even that out, and what can I read about
myself in the joint I just rolled, but I already smoked it, have to roll
another one, now where did I hide my stash, I'm sure I picked a real good
place, the core of the toilet paper roll? No, but I do have to take a crap,
should I go get GR in case I'm constipated, or maybe just read the National
Geo's here, oh yeah, this issue has a piece on South Africa, what a cosmic
coincidence, but shit, then I have to flush, and what if they're waiting for
me to flush, so they can bust the door down and I won't have any way to get
rid of my stash, better fill a few jugs...
