Anyone else hear that nouveau disco song that goes "Love me, love me,
pretend that you love me/Need me, need me, say that you need me/Fool me,
fool me, go on and fool me"?

The contrast between the pathos of the lyric and the chipperness of the
music is striking--and a bit disgusting, too.
