So long as we're still on free speech I can't
resist noting Germany's comment on U.S. criticism
of scientologist suppression.

"We won't change our policy, no matter what you say.
You are a big country. You can afford to have militias and
cults. We can't." (continues on about being only the
size of Montana)

Haven't heard the endless frontier (or whatever it was called)
thesis invoked for quite a while in connection with American
specialness. Still a lot of truth to it, maybe.

Did remind me of how much CYBERspace there is out there. 
Can't do much harm in THAT environment no matter what
we say to each other. Sure no excuse for censorship on the Net.

Not too logical, I spose, but a kute konnection.
