Don notes, rightly, IMO:

>This argument will not be settled here, but let's keep in mind not
> only the erotic/pornographic/sadomasochistic scenes of GR, but the direct
>role that pornography plays in regard to Greta Erdmann and Pokler and
>its relation to film and calculus (both "pornographies of flight").

Just to second Don's reference to the various pornographies GR attends to, and to
note--hey, is this porno discussion a *progressive knotting into* or what? It gets harder
and harder to follow the thread, esp. when the thread is muddied up w/ personal
attacks--real or imagined. I have nothing constructive to offer, just a coupla questions: is
that erotica engraved on Keats' urn pornography? Is that poem *sexist*? Are the erotic
mosaics found at Pompeii examples of male oppresion? What about that Kama Sutra?
Why does Sade get both Chris and me hot? Why am I frightened of McKinnon, Dworkin
et al? Why have I never found the least interest in Hustler, yet have been known to
peruse the occasional Puritan?
