We are a precocious bunch. Apparently many of us were talented
children who never did quite enough growing up. I include myself, and
running through myself with a long sword, touch you, also, Steely.
Yes, you write well. Good boy. But your scattered intellect does a
poor job of covering up having spent too much time in the darkness of
an elementary school cloakroom or some such, sent there for some
hijinks. Bad boy! I imagine the scent of mothball sweaters and musty
boots is still exciting for you. A-and dim memories of the monster in
there with you.

But it's time to rejoin the class, Steely. It's time to come back
into the light. Sure, the cloakroom monster is still there,
attractive as ever. Very distracting, very exciting. But grow up
just a little bit, and you can go outside on a picnic with the rest
of the class. Not as real as the cloakroom monster, maybe, but there
are some happier games that you could play. You can always go back to
the cloakroom when/if you want.

Tag. You're it.
