Lubbock or Leave it!
It's a great place to be from, so I hear tell. Terry Allen, artiste
manque and satirical country-western sanger/songwrither is from there.
He wrote THE TRUCKLOAD OF ART:
"....out on the highway,
there's a truckload of art,
burnin' out of control,
and nobody knows what it means.."
and his wife is a performance artist and was in David Byrne's TRUE
STORIES. She was the lady who couldn't tell the truth.
But Odessa/Midland is even more benighted than Lubbock.
