Shouldn't that be a Croat (hravat) in cravat?

& boogeyman/boogerman comes from the Bugis Archipelago in the
East Indies. The Bugis were known as fierce piratical types
and gave the European mariners a hard time. Little Dutch
kids were scared into submission with threats of the Bugis.
