Later on, Mason (I think it is) sez that the Revd was THEIR
(his and Dixon's) Boswell and implies that all the detail he
records is a little on the superfluous side. (Gereral slam at
long-winded writers.} He does this in the presence of the REAL Boswell,
who doesn't seem to be chagrined at not having a Boswell of HIS
own. There is of course much more and less to the Revd than this, but .
. .
