My motives have nothing to do with what you discuss. If you're afraid of my
reactions, then be civil and fair.

Several people from Pynchon-l did talk with Chrissie in New York last December.
As you saw in Lineland, Chrissie was not very impressed with the questions
that she received from pynchon-l. She said that she thought this was why
Pynchon doesn't want to give interviews. She was also later ridiculed here
behind her back to the point where someone (davemarc?) had to speak up and
set people straight. Now that she's read Lineland and seen a small portion
of the kind of insults that were the reward for sharing our thoughts and our
time with you, are you brave enough to ask her to submit to further abuse?
I can send her the messages you posted here, if you wish, and she can then
decide whether or not she wants to communicate with you directly. I hope you
have an asbestos ear muff.
