70s Saving Graces

While there were good & atrocious artists to mark each of the decades, I
just wanted to point out that there were also a few folks who were always
there, plugging away in the background, cranking out interesting, wierd and
wonderful work throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s -- Tom Waits, Frank Zappa,
Leonard Cohen, Randy Newman ...
My point being that no matter how sucky your particular temporal cultural
icons happened to be, there were (& presumably ARE) always some interesting
& rewarding alternatives.
