I'd use mostly bebop, and rock only for the very last, LA section.  And a 
gospel rendition of A Soul in Ev'ry Stone.  Elsewhere, I think we'd need 
some Edith Piaf, some Marlene Dietrich, a-a-and some carefully chosen 
Spike Jones.  In classical music, gotta have Webern, yes, but also 
Richard Strauss and Shostakovich.

Oh, this is fun.  But I must say I hope no one ever tries to make a movie 
out of anything by Pynchon.
