Almost done with M&D

I hit p. 500 this am.  Perhaps the fact that I have been reading--very--
slowly has prevented the disappointments y'all are expressing. 
Kind of rereading it as I read, w/ lotsa loops back into it.  Has been a
 most satisfying ride, and I am really sorry it's ending (though by no
 means is the end in sight yet).  I regret that my terrapin mode of reading
 has prevented me from taking part in the excellent MDMD, but I guess it's  the
 price for allowing myself  a deep rich read.
