About two years ago, while driving to Maine and driving through
Lower Downstate NY just S of the Catskills, I chanced upon a series
of NY Stae Historical Markers referring to a boundary "war" between
PA, NY & NJ in the area... we had just come out of the Delaware
Water Gap (a great place, amazing it is so close to NYC) and were
on our way to Kingston-on-the-Hudson.

Guess I'll have to find that W&MQ.
