Lehrer/parodies/M&D review

Way back when foax on the list were disputing the authenticity of that GR
epigraph, the Tom Lehrer tune kept going through my head. From my battered
copy of "Too Many Song By Tom Lehrer with not enough drawings by Ronald
Searle," another stanza:

You too may be a big hero,
Once you've learned to count backwards to zero.
"In German oder English I know how to count down,
Und I'm learning chinese," says Wernher von Braun.

As for Pynchon parodies, the list's own davemarc and chris k.  presented fine
specimens at the KGB Pynchon Imitator contest a few months back. (They was
robbed of victory by a management plant.)
