     Heikki mentioned an article about Pynchon, with London Times photo, in 
     FOCUS.  For whatever the gossip quotient is worth, I will share that I 
     recently overheard some Germans familiar with James Bone discussing 
     his sale of this now-infamous shot to DER STERN, after unsuccessfully 
     trying to peddle the same to several US pubs--none of which wanted to 
     buy it.  I know not why.
     
     I have written a letter to the Times about this issue.  I wonder if 
     they will print it.
