Capitalism redux. Power lies not in the barrel of a gun but in the
greenbacks (finest fruit of the Civil War) in your pocket. And what's
the product being hawked here? Information?
I hope the Murdochs of this world are not laughing too loudly. And
that Thomas Pynchon is not despairing of his efforts to elucidate.
