RE RED PEARLS

 Red  pearls are real and very rare .They are more orange than red. They
are produced by conchs not oysters. They are found in Viet Nam .The red
pearl is often seen with the dragon in oriental art. If memory serves me
either the "Smithsonian" or "Washington Post Magazine" had an article on
colored pearls recently.
