M&D Questions: P. 120

1. On page 120, Mason and Dixon are at the Moon.  People are announcing
that the blood is in used to make their blood drink.  I think M&D are
listening to the origin of this drink when they hear about a Euchre game
and an aristocrat.  Euchre and aristocrat.  Eucharist.  

Any opinions if this sound-alike sounds intentional?  As a perversion of
the religion of the invading white rationals, the weird drink highlights
the "nonrational" beliefs still in that society.

2. A little farther out along the line of improbability is the interesting
correspondence between the Moon (a pub featuring insane people) in St.
Helens/ the moon (where the spirits of insane people were supposed to be)/
and St. Helen(s/ena), the sanitarium where Pound was kept for his "mental
illness."
