This is not specifically M& D related, but it does relate to a funny M&D
character, Benjamin Franklin. I saw in the SF Sunday paper today that
Josh Kornbluth is mounting a "workshop production" of a new one-man show,
"Ben Franklin Unplugged" through August 26 at the Speakeasy Theatre in
Berkeley. Chances are, as Kornbluth's done with previous shows ("Red Diaper
Baby" among others), he'll take it to New York and elsewhere. Kornbluth's a
funny and literate performer (I saw him do some of his early shows in SF
several years ago when he was still working a day job), and I wouldn't be
surprised to learn that he's seen Pynchon's treatment of Franklin in M&D.
