*Can't* attribute it properly. My self-correction of this error can be used
by those interested as an example of my inability to write about Pynchon
without making errors, just as my self-correction of my little lie about how
I got Chrissie to confess was used as an example of my tendency to lie.

Moderation in the defense of extremism is no virtue.
