There will be a P-list Evening of Meaningful Drinking this Friday,
     July 25 at 9pm, at Flannery's, 205 W.14th Street (at 7th Ave.).

In addition to enjoying the unmoderated delights of the grain, we will
be able to tap our feet and bob our heads in raucous group approval of
the kick-ass sounds of Shanghai Love Motel. As luck would have it,
SLM is fronted by our own Bill Millard--editor by day, rock star by
night, which means that this event, as a Pynchon-friendly field trip,
qualifies as extra credit towards the final grade you will receive
when the P-list implodes. All list members who attend this event and
make at least one pithy mention of Mason & Dixon and its thematic
relevance to any SLM song while stumbling convincingly towards the
restrooms will be excused from posting the same on-line. Plus, if
you've Never yet attended an NYPL gathering, you will receive a
     special citation.

Sure hope Bill forgives me for blowing his cover, but I thought this
might be a good opportunity to make the virtual actual, again.

Chris, la Shanghienne, will be there, will you?
