The future of the list -- nanny time?

A moderated list would lose the sense of play and conversation and
become more like a news group/bulletin board.

One or more listers asking a lister that repeatedly offends some list
sensibility wouldn't be nearly as bad.

When a few listers were tired of my "On This Day" posts, I stopped
sending them to the list. &-and they were edited for relevance.

I think the danger of the list losing any body/flavor/scents (sic) it
might have by being filtered/moderated is much greater than the
chance of it crashing / going down in flames while we fiddle.
