I was introduced to GR in 1973 when a friend gave me a first edition as a
birthday present. I have been reading it ever since. The rest of Pynchon's
canon came to me as a result of my desire to read more of his work...and
that reading has stimulated perhaps 70% of all my pleasure reading since. I
view his work as a lifetime of reading both his works and the reading of
material that his work introduces.
