Ay-yi-yi.
OK, now that the real storm has blown over and I can crawl out from my
virtual cave, where I have been rocking insanely in the fetal position
for the past few days....
Whe I first read Vaska's original post about gender issues I sympathized
with what she had to say, though didn't think it had anything to do with
me personally. I don't contribute often here, but whenever I have I've
been treated just fine and have no reason to feel particularly
intimidated. It's more of a "time" issue. Hey, nobody intimidates me!
I did, however, recognize that all hell was
about to break lose at the very mention of a Gender Issue, and my gut
reaction was to immediately post to the list that I certainly wasn't one
of the women who had emailed Vaska privately . Nope! Not guilty!
Sure, I dont post a lot, but really, REALLY, i haven't been complaining
behind your backs, guys! Really, as far as I'm concerned, everything is
okey-dokey! You couldn't ASK for a more female friendly cyber space!
Really this has nothing to do with me.... .
Which, of course, is really pretty fucking pathetic.
So, while I still don't think I'm intimidated by posting in general, I
sure as hell was intimidated about even the possibility that I could be
associated with This Unpopular Idea .Which means: Maybe I wouldn't post
something I thought would be another " unpopular idea" So maybe I am
intimidated. Gee.

Or was. Knowledge is power! Now that have seen my innner wimp I will
try to combat it.......I'm rereading V. right now, so watch out.......

Thanks, Vaska.........
