Thanks. I also think the List has cause for some just complaint, too.  Few
of us seem to mind our occasional [communal] squabbles: it would be a wonder
if none erupted from time to time.  But let's keep it all in good faith; as
far as that is humanly possible, of course.

I've had my say, Henry, and am off to topics more congenial.  Those who are
silenced are the ones who choose to stand on the side-lines and wag their
heads and say nothing....  Eva Sedgwick describes it as one of the phenomena
typical of the "homo-social order" -- and since Pynchon all but quotes her
word for word somewhere in _Vineland_, he at least would appreciate what's
really going on on the P-list these days.
