The owner of a New York bookstore told me that some people had
approached Pynchon's parents and tricked some signed copies of TRP books
from them, and that these books had later been sold for exorbitant
prices. Of course I don't know if it's true.
I found, myself, an inscribed copy of the paperback first edition of GR.
Unfortunately it was a fake.
