[apologies to the maths-illiterati for yet more mathematical jargon]
Sanjay,
Essentially your epsilon delta description (epsilonics, anyone?)
appears to be saying that is synonyous with continuous. And you also
appear to be saying that non-linear is synonyous with discontinuous
and that chaos deals with non-linear i.e. discontuous systems.
But, just a few notes back someone was claiming that non-linear and
linear are not mutually exhaustive of all the options. Perhaps someone
could clarify?
Are linear systems a subset of continuous systems or are the terms
linear and continuous synonymous?
Are non-linear systems a subset of discontinuous systems or are the
terms non-linear and discontinuous synonymous?
Is chaos theory nothing more nor less than the study of discontinuous
systems or does it deal with specific types of discontinuous systems.
