Mason & Dixon is
"our Passion of Titanick Scope." Its fate, and good ol' TRP's,
to "ever be picked at by small men in spangl'd Costumes."---
literary critics, teachers of fiction.
"First of May, then, shall we?"
Publication date of Mason & Dixon.
Place your bets on if Pynchon modeled some of nutty Neville
on either Ray Roberts (nah, too steady and easy to get along with)
or Michael Nauman. But then, perhaps neither, as N.M. left a
diary---a copy at the Bod., Mr O'Hara? Just wondering, y'know.

I shall be posting MDMD (5) Questions, Notes, Summaries,
Commentary and naughty Arabic Illustrations at 8pm EST tommorow
night, if that is O.K. with the list. That's 1am GMT (or BST?), I think.
Shhok-Ran.
