Henry Musikar quotes Michael Dirda on American Fiction:

> obsessions of the past 25 years, Don DeLillo is the man."

I whole-heartedly agree if those obsessions are restricted to the US
of A. Pynchon is much more international (multi-national might be more
appropriate) in his concerns.
