Vacation and status

I'm going to the e-mail-less wilderness for a week (ie, Block
Island) and fully expect to find roughly a thousand p-list
posts awaiting me upon return.  Please make each one 
interesting! :-)  Also, the problematical status entailed in
being on the p-list somehow reminds me of the old joke about
the Naive Would-be Starlet who thought she could advance her
Hollywood career by sleeping with _writers_!
