Derivation of Stogie from Conestoga:  Whimsey?  My dictionary is
referancing Conestoga, but dates it at 1853, and puts a shoe as the
first definition.  At this point in the story, there have been several
other referances to the wagons and/or wagoneers of Conestoga.  Was it
already established as a wagon building town in pre-revolutionary
times, or is this a metephorical compression of later history?
