Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.  I have a friend who owns a retail store near a downtown area of a medium-sized city.  He's also slightly paranoid and owns several guns.  One night he left me watching the store.  His last words to me before leaving, "You know the alarm code and the Glock's under the counter."
