Could it be that Jules Siegel predicted this in "Lineland?" I wrote: "I
heard he's relaxed a bit on the privacy obsession. I wouldn't be surprised
to see some highly-laundered personal editorial coverage in connection with
his new book." This comment also appears in the pynchon-l archive for
October, 1996.

Also, to repeat my earlier message, if someone will put a Gif of the TV clip
online or send it to me as an attachment, I will identify him for you all if
he is recognizable.
