There was a bloke at my school, Andy Cowlard, who played a banjo and using
a threepenny bit as a slide used to make it sound like a sitar. A
threepenny bit was an octagonal coin from the days of LSD (Pounds, shillings
and pence), tho that was also the late sixties.
