It is rather well known that John Laroquette holds in his possession one of
only TWO authenticated autographed copies of Gravity's Rainbow -- which was
given to him personally by the author.  Other than that, I can't call any
copies genuine, for sure -- but I've heard that he HAS signed some for
charity oout West somewhere a few years back (Vineland, I believe -- maybe
100 copies).
